Saturday's Oregon vs. Alabama game will be a matchup between two heavyweights... on the hardwood. Yes, you read that correctly, Oregon and Alabama will be meeting on Saturday night in one of the biggest hoops games of the day between two teams that very well could be ranked next week.
Dana Altman has Oregon playing some of the best basketball of any Big Ten (yes, it's still weird to say) team this season. The Ducks are 7-0 on the year and have tallied three straight impressive wins.
In fact, Oregon won at Oregon State last week and then took down No. 20 Texas A&M on Tuesday before locking down San Diego State the next night. The latter two wins have secured Oregon a spot in the Players Era Festival first-place game on Saturday night against the No. 9 team in the country.
In the past of a week, Oregon might just pick up wins over No. 20 Texas A&M, No. 9 Alabama, San Diego State, and Oregon State. Talk about a heck of a resume so far.
What does Vegas think of the matchup on Saturday night?

Vegas doesn't seem to think Oregon is going to upset Alabama and I tend to agree, mostly because the Crimson Tide have one of the best offenses in the nation and it's been a long week for the Ducks. A fourth game in nine days doesn't sound like much but it's going to produce some tired legs on Saturday night against the Crimson Tide. It'll be close, though.
Final Score: Oregon 71, Alabama 78
