The Oregon Ducks head into Week 2 looking to clean up some of the errors from the Boise State game to pick up a Power 4 win over Oklahoma State. Coming into the season, Oklahoma State was one of the most hyped up teams, as Eric Morris brought most of the pieces from the Nation's best offense with him to Stillwater.
The Cowboys lost in Week 1 to Tulsa, but if Eric Morris' team starts to round itself into shape, they could scare any team in the Country. Offensive pieces like Drew Mestemaker, Wyatt Young, and Caleb Hawkins have the ability to emerge as elite weapons in the Big 12 who can turn any game into a shootout.
Before the Ducks head into action and try to slow down the Cowboys, a simulation took its chance at predicting the outcome.
EA Sports CFB 27 simulation predicts Oregon blowout
A computer simulation in EA Sports College Football 27 of the Oregon vs. Oklahoma State game resulted in a 63-20 blowout win for the Ducks. In the simulation, Oregon outgained the Cowboys 632 yards to 316 yards.
The Ducks' defense shut down the Oklahoma State passing attack, holding Drew Mestemaker to 9-of-20 passing for just 112 yards. Where the Cowboys did have offensive success was with handing the ball to Caleb Hawkins, who rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries, averaging 9.0 yards.
Dante Moore had a Heisman-level performance, completing 24 of 27 attempts for 504 yards and 5 touchdowns, adding another score with his legs. The Ducks had a trio of receivers go above the 100-yard mark, as Evan Stewart led the team with 157 yards while Jamari Johnson caught 9 passes for 106 yards and Jeremiah McClellan added another 100+ yard game.
On the ground, Oregon scored 4 touchdowns, with Dante Moore and 3 running backs each punching the ball in. In total, the Ducks averaged 5.12 yards per carry, led by Jordon Davison, who rushed for 8.3 yards per carry.
Oregon plays Oklahoma State on Saturday Morning at 9:00 PM PT in Stillwater. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
