These Ducks are going to be fun to watch, a team that runs and scores with great variety and depth.

A few days after star guard Elisa Mevius went down with a knee injury in a 90-47 win over Montana, teammate Katie Fiso picked up the slack with a career-high 20 points and ten assists to lead the Ducks to an 84-66 win over Grand Canyon.

Forward Mia Jacobs, the 6-2 transfer from Fresno State, continued her hot start with 26 points, including 12-13 from the line and 6-10 from the floor. Sarah Rambus and Astera Tuhina also broke into double figures with 11 points each.

The Ducks started out on fire, hitting 11-14 shots in the first quarter as the first four baskets, a jumper, a three-pointer, a layup and another three-pointer were all assisted by Fiso. Ari Long fed Jacobs for a layup that made it 12-5 just three minutes into the game.

The Ducks led 42-24 at the half and emptied the bench. Throughout the game they showed their ability to defend and run the floor.

They host Army on Sunday, 2 p.m. PT on Big Ten+, travel to Washington State for their first road game on November 19. That one's on ESPN+ at 4 p.m.
