The Oregon Ducks were on a hot streak in Big Ten play. The Ducks had won four consecutive conference matchups (against Purdue, Iowa, Indiana, and No. 16 Michigan State) but the hot streak was ended by the Michigan Wolverines in an abysmal 80-48 blowout.

Oregon struggled drastically from the field as they shot just 26.3 percent from beyond the arc and an atrocious 29.5 percent from the field. The Ducks also struggled to maintain possession of the ball as they turned it over 14 times and committed 18 fouls.

On the other side of the court, the Wolverines were able to connect from deep as they shot 45 percent from beyond the arc and an impressive 53.6 percent from the field.

Just two Ducks scored in the double digits as they struggled to find their aim throughout the matchup. Phillipina Kyei and Katie Fiso put up 11 points apiece. Oregon, a usually sound team on the defensive end of the court, failed to slow down Michigan as the Wolverines nearly doubled the Ducks' point total.

Michigan missed just one free throw out of its 11 attempts and dominated the glass, out-rebounding Oregon by eight boards.

With the loss, Oregon fell to 7-4 in conference play and Michigan improved to 6-5 in Big Ten matchups. The Ducks, who have had some impressive upset wins, are now 16-6 overall while the Wolverines have slightly struggled to find consistency and are just 15-7 overall.

After the matchup, Oregon head coach Kelly Graves expressed his frustration with the team's performance and the outcome of the game.

"We played tired,” Graves said. “We didn’t play with the same type of intensity and enthusiasm that we did the other night, that we need to on the road. I credit Michigan, they were hungry.”

Oregon will continue conference play on Feb. 6 against the No. 14 Maryland Terrapins when the Ducks return to Matthew Knight Arena and look to upset the top-25 team.
