This one still hurts. It probably will for quite a while. A familial legend at Oregon left the Ducks after four astonishing seasons with the team.
After older brother Troy Dye had led the Ducks in tackles over four consecutive years, running back Travis Dye committed to be the next great player at Oregon.
Dye had 739 yards in his freshman season to start his collegiate career off with a bang. His fourth year for Oregon saw 1,271 yards on the ground, 402 yards through the air, and 18 total touchdowns.
And then, he was gone.
Dye entered the transfer portal to head back home to Southern California and play his final season of college football with the USC Trojans.
The gaping hole left behind by Dye was eventually filled but it broke the hearts of Duck fans to have to root against him the next season.
