3 bold predictions for Oregon football vs. Oregon State in Week 3
2. Evan Stewart goes over 100 again
Coming over from Texas A&M as a former five-star recruit in the 2022 class, Evan Stewart had plenty of hype surrounding him and some were let down after he struggled a bit in the opener.
In fact, he had just three catches for 15 yards against Idaho which was rather concerning considering the Vandals weren't exactly world-beaters. But we'll chalk that performance up to first-game jitters and the new additions on the offensive side of the ball still figuring out how to play together. That was Dillon Gabriel's first game in a Duck uniform, too.
Then we saw the two look like a dynamic connection in Week 2 against a much better Boise State team. Stewart caught five passes for 112 yards and a touchdown and looked like that star receiver we all expected in the offseason next to Tez Johnson.
I'm predicting a second straight 100-yard performance as I think he'll even top his 112 yards from last week. He's going to keep getting better and Oregon State won't have an answer for him.
Stewart finishes with six catches for 124 yards and another touchdown.
