Analyzing Oregon softball’s opening weekend

To cap off the weekend, the Ducks stormed through their sixth game of the season. Earning their second run-rule victory, Oregon brought in 9 runs during the 5th inning to bring its RBI total to 12.
Army struggled against the Ducks’ powerful bullpen and only eked out a single run to prevent a complete shutout.
Hansen and Spencer combined for 6 strikeouts and just 3 hits allowed. Hansen threw for 2.1 innings and 39 pitches while Spencer finished off the game with 2.3 innings and 31 pitches.
Carlson hit 3 doubles while Daniell, Wong, Tehya Bird, and Remmington Hewitt each hit one.
The Ducks will head to the Campbell Carter Classic next weekend where they will face Texas A&M, Loyola Marymount, and San Diego State.
