Big Ten basketball way-too-early power rankings for 2024-25: Where do Ducks stand?
By Sam Fariss
As Oregon prepares for its new Conference of Champions, the Ducks will have a new batch of regular season opponents.
From the usual suspects such as the UCLA Bruins to less familiar foes like the Indiana Hoosiers, the Ducks have quite the road ahead and will have to face many tough opponents throughout Big Ten play.
The Bruins have the most national titles of any team in the country.
Purdue has been a consistent presence at the top of the national rankings.
Hoosier basketball has movies made about it.
The Oregon Ducks won the first-ever NCAA Tournament.
The Big Ten is chock-full of historic basketball programs and the expansion to 18 teams should be nothing short of spectacular.
So, where do the Ducks rank amongst their new conference-mates as the teams head into summer and prepare for the upcoming 2024-25 season?

Despite the Ducks’ unprecedented postseason performances last year, Oregon falls well short of a top spot in the Big Ten.
Head coach Dana Altman will have to do his best work in order to move the Ducks up this ranking and Oregon will have to play its very best basketball.
This by no means is to say that Oregon will be bad in the coming year, the Ducks have loads of talented players on the roster.
In the transfer portal, Altman picked up three four-star players Brandon Angel, TJ Bamba, and Ra’Heim Moss to only further bolster his troops.
