What a career turnaround Bo Nix has had.
Flash it back to his Auburn days and people were ready to quit on the former blue-chipper, calling him a busy and basically saying that he didn't live up to expectations after a solid freshman season.
Three years later, he found himself at Oregon where he had a breakout season under Kenny Dillingham who actually coached him as a freshman at Auburn. He passed for 3,593 yards and 29 touchdowns with a 72 percent completion rate. He looked like he had turned his career around, but maybe it was just an outlier of a year.
And then the 2023 season happened. Nix was a legitimate Heisman candidate, passing for 4,508 yards and 45 touchdowns with just three picks and a 77 percent completion rate.
Nix went from "damaged goods" to a first-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos and he's about to be an NFL starter as a rookie. What a difference a few years makes.
Fast forward to the preseason and Nix has been tearing it up, leading the Broncos to a win in the opener against the Colts and he followed that up with an even more impressive second game, passing for 80 yards and a touchdown on 8-for-9 passing. He led Denver to a dominant win over the Packers and has former quarterbacks raving over his game.
I want you to watch how CALM AND CONFIDENT Bo Nix’s feet are in connection with how INTENTIONAL he is with his eyes on the first throw. HE IS SEEING IT SO CLEARLY. His experience playing in multiple offenses throughout college is showing up in spades. Bo knows football

Bo Nix is so fun to watch. They move the ball so easily when he’s in….wouldnt be surprised if Sean Payton names him the starter

I was in the Broncos QB Mtg Room Thursday night and it was so cool to watch how Bo Nix learns. Davis Webb does such a good job with that entire room.
Nix has the look of an NFL QB1 and when the regular season starts, it would be rather shocking if he wasn't the quarterback leading the Denver offense.
Through two preseason games, Nix looks like the real deal and he's proving that his career resurgence at Oregon was no fluke.
