The rise of Bo Nix truly needs to be studied.

In the years leading up to his transfer to Oregon, Nix was considered one of the most disappointing former blue-chip quarterbacks in the nation. He was struggling to live up to the immense hype at Auburn and a fresh start elsewhere seemed necessary.

Nix transferred to Oregon and his offensive coordinator was a familiar face in Kenny Dillingham. While the two were together for a little bit at Auburn, they parted ways and then he struggled with the Tigers. Reuniting in Oregon was the best-case scenario for the former blue-chip quarterback. All he did was excel under Dillingham in 2022.

When Dillingham left for the Arizona State job, some thought he would struggle, but he put up even better numbers in 2023 and earned himself a first-round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Broncos selected him at No. 12 overall and he ended up winning the starting quarterback job during preseason ball. He was one of the most impressive quarterbacks in the preseason and really turned some heads.

On Wednesday, Nix was named a team captain as a rookie.

Nix's rise to superstardom has been something to behold. He went from "disappointing" starter at Auburn to Oregon transfer to elite Heisman candidate in Eugene to first-round draft pick to Broncos starter and team captain as a rookie. Just an incredible rise for the former Duck.

I can bet you that Denver is going to have a lot of Oregon fans jumping on the bandwagon this season to watch their beloved former quarterback become an NFL star.
