Deion Sanders accused Oregon football of stealing private data after 42-6 loss
One of the wildest stories to come from the 2023 season happened to fly a little under the radar nationally and it involves one of the biggest names in college football: Deion Sanders.
We know all about Sanders and his love for the spotlight but what many fans didn't know was that he accused Oregon football of potentially stealing private data such as practice video following a 42-6 loss in Eugene.
Sanders accused Oregon of unauthorized access into the team's video and other private data and brought the alleged issue to the Pac-12. He alleged that the team's online source that collects data and stores practice video was breached and that Oregon may have done something for that to happen considering the Ducks smacked Colorado by 36 following the Buffaloes' 3-0 start.
Catapult, which stores the data and practice video for Colorado, reportedly did its own investigation after the Pac-12 received the allegations and they found that there was no breach nor was Colorado's information ever compromised, per Front Office Sports.
After receiving this investigative result from Catapult, Colorado decided not to move forward with the complaint and it never truly made headlines.
But now that the results of the investigation have been made public, sources from Front Office Sports are sharing the story and it's worth a laugh. Instead of blaming the fact that his team was overmatched and just not prepared for a juggernaut like Oregon, Sanders decided to cry wolf and say that his data was stolen by the Ducks.
Fortunately for Colorado, it doesn't have to face Oregon this season because if the Buffaloes thought 42-6 was bad, I'd bet that this story would lead to an even bigger beatdown.
