The Ducks had an astounding eight players drafted throughout the seven rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft, tied for fourth most alongside Georgia and Penn State.

After the draft concluded and fans streamed back home from Detroit, franchises weren’t done with Oregon quite yet.

Throughout Sunday, the day after the NFL Draft ended, more Ducks were signed to NFL franchises from free agency.

Taki Taimani signed by the Minnesota Vikings

After starting his collegiate career with the Washington Huskies, defensive lineman Taki Taimani played his final two seasons of college football for the Oregon Ducks.

Taimani started in nine games during the 2023 season while appearing in all 14 games for the Ducks. He had 22 total tackles and 1.5 sacks in his senior season. He also earned 1 pass deflection and 1 fumble recovery for Oregon.

The Minnesota Vikings shared that they had signed Taimani on Sunday afternoon, making him the ninth Duck in the 2024 NFL class.
