How former Oregon football players fared in the NFL in Week 3
Another week of NFL action is in the books and since Oregon football had a bye, it was all Duck fans really had to look forward to over the weekend.
Oregon got a much-needed bye after a slow start to its 2024 season in Week 4. The Ducks did, however, record their best win of the season by smashing Oregon State in Corvallis, 49-14. They seem to be getting some of their mojo back, but it was still a good time for a bye to regroup after struggling to pull away from Idaho and Boise State.
But Oregon fans took in a stress-free week by watching some of their favorite former players like Bucky Irving and Bo Nix as well as Justin Herbert, among others.
So without further ado, let's take a look at how the former Oregon football players fared in the NFL in Week 3.
Player | Week 3 stats |
---|---|
Bo Nix (Broncos) | 25-36, 216 yards passing; 9 carries, 47 yards, 1 TD |
Justin Herbert (Chargers) | 12-18, 125 yards passing, 1 TD |
Bucky Irving (Buccaneers) | 9 rushes, 70 yards; 3 catches, 14 yards |
Troy Hill (Panthers) | 3 total tackles, 1 pass breakup |
DJ Johnson (Panthers) | 1 total tackle |
Troy Franklin (Broncos) | 2 catches, 11 yards |
Evan Williams (Packers) | 1 total tackle |
Troy Dye (Chargers) | 1 total tackle |
Jevon Holland (Dolphins) | 4 total tackles |
Johnny Mundt (Vikings) | 1 catch, 3 yards, TD |
Christian Gonzlez (Patriots) | 3 total tackles |
Kayvon Thibodeaux (Giants) | 3 total tackles, 0.5 sacks |
Pharaoh Brown (Seahawks) | 1 catch, 9 yards |
Deommodore Lenoir (49ers) | 4 total tackles |
As you can see, it was a solid week for some former Ducks like Nix, Irving, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Jevon Holland, Deommodore Lenois, Christian Gonzalez, and Troy Hill. It was also good to see Troy Franklin show a pulse with the Broncos in their win over the Buccaneers on the road. His two catches for 11 yards may not seem like much, but it's a start.
There are also numerous Ducks who are on NFL rosters but who didn't record any stats this past weekend like Penei Sewell, Brandon Dorlus, Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, Noah Sewell, TJ Bass, Alex Forsyth, Jamal Hill, Arik Armstead, Jackson Powers-Johnson, Taki Taimani, Juwan Johnson, Riley Jordan, Jake Hanson, and Marcus Mariota.
Check back in after Week 4 to see how the NFL Ducks fared once again.
