Friday night's Oregon vs. Michigan State game will be the first true Big Ten test for the Ducks. While Oregon did have its first "Big Ten game" in Week 5 against UCLA, this is the first time the Ducks will face a traditional foe from their new conference.

Oregon is 4-0 with two straight blowouts over Power Four opponents (I'm actually not sure we can actually call Oregon State that anymore) to make up for its slow start in Weeks 1 and 2.

Michigan State is riding a two-game losing streak but it's better than its record shows. The Spartans played Ohio State tough but shot itself in the leg with turnovers in the red zone and dropped interceptions and they probably should have won at Boston College in Week 4.

This one will be fun.

Series history for Oregon vs. Michigan State

Oregon and Michigan State have met seven times and the Ducks hold the all-time series lead 4-3. The Ducks also won the last meeting between the two back in the Redbox Bowl back in 2018 with a final score of 7-6. Before that, Michigan State won in East Lansing in 2015. Will the Ducks avoid a series tie on Friday night? It feels that way.
