An Oregon hero, born and raised up the road in Portland, Terrell Brandon took his team to the NIT Tournament as a sophomore and held many program records before heading to the NBA.

Brandon was the first-ever Duck to forego the remainder of his eligibility and declare for the Draft early. It worked out pretty well for him as he was selected 11th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1991 NBA Draft.

He competed in 724 games throughout his professional career and averaged 13.8 points per game – his career total being just six points shy of 10,000.

Brandon was a two-time All-Star selection when he averaged nearly 20 points per game in back-to-back seasons.

The Duck’s professional career would have been amongst the greatest of all if it weren’t for an injury that forced him into retirement at just 31 years old.

Still, Brandon is in the top 100 for six different all-time lists in the NBA:

  • Free throw percentage (24th)
  • Assists per game (59th)
  • Offensive box plus/minus (64th).
  • Steals per game (69th)
  • Player efficiency rating (92nd)
  • Assists (96th)
