8. Jim Loscutoff

Teammates with Bill Russell on the Boston Celtics, Loscutoff probably has the most successful record out of anyone on this list.

I mean, it’s pretty hard to beat someone who won seven (yes, 7) NBA championships in just nine years.

Not only was Loscutoff on the team, but he sank the final two free throws in double overtime of a 125–123 victory over the St. Louis Hawks in game seven. It was the Celtics’ first-ever NBA championship.

Although he injured his knee, Loscutoff worked to return and went on to win six more championships during his time in Boston

He averaged 6.18 points and 5.57 rebounds per game, playing in 511 games total.

Following his NBA career, Loscutoff coached Boston State and the New England Gulls. When he passed away in 2015, the Boston Celtics honored him by raising a banner that simply said his nickname – “Loscy.”
