The most famous member of the Kamikaze Kids, Greg Ballard was drafted fourth overall by the Washington Bullets in the 1977 NBA Draft.

Ballard spent 10 years in the league, split between Washington, Golden State, and the Seattle SuperSonics. He played 802 games throughout his professional career.

In his rookie season, the Bullets defeated the SuperSonics in the NBA Championships and appeared in the Finals against Seattle once again the next year.

In his first season as a starter, Ballard averaged 15.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. He later went on to become the Bullets’ leading scorer during the 1981-82 season.

After being traded by the Bullets to the Warriors and eventually the SuperSonics, he finished his career with nearly 10,000 total points and more than 4,800 total rebounds.

Following his phenomenal time in the NBA, Ballard was an assistant coach and scout for the Hawks, TImberwolves, and Dallas Mavericks.
