It's been a solid season so far for former Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert as he's led the Los Angeles Chargers to a 2-1 start to the Jim Harbaugh era.

Not only is Los Angeles playing well as a team, but Herbert is completing 67 percent of his passes for 399 yards and four touchdowns. What has been a major rain cloud on his 2024 season thus far, however, has been injury issues over the past two weeks.

In fact, he suffered an injury in Week 2 and it was considered a high-ankle sprain and he still managed to go 14-for-20 for 130 yards and two touchdowns with a pick in a 26-3 win over the Panthers. He somehow toughed it out and was able to go against the Steelers just a week later and he finished 12-for-18 for 125 yards and a touchdown before leaving with a reaggravation to that ankle/foot area.

There were some worries that his injury against the Steelers would keep him out for an extended period of time because whenever you reaggravate something, that's usually the case.

Fortunately, Herbert got lucky and staved off serious injury as X-rays were reportedly negative on that ankle/foot after the game.

It's an exciting year for Oregon Ducks in the NFL so this is great news.

Bucky Irving is the NFL's leading rookie rusher, Bo Nix just recorded his first career win as a starting quarterback in the league, and Penei Sewell is arguably one of the top offensive linemen in the NFL. There is so much to look forward to and now we won't have to worry about Herbert missing extra time -- also great news for fantasy owners.
