Can you believe that College GameDay is back? That's right, Saturday marked the first edition of the season and the crew picked their favorites to win each major conference and also the national title. And, to no one's surprise, Oregon football got a ton of love.

First, the guys picked their conference champions and every single personality outside of Desmond Howard picked Ohio State to win the league. Howard chose Oregon most likely because he just can't pick Ohio State.

Then the crew started talking about who they believed would win the national title and Howard once again chose the Ducks. He wasn't the only one, however, as Kirk Herbstreit followed suit.

As if that wasn't enough, Nick Saban was asked who he thought would win the national title and he said Georgia but he claimed that Oregon and the Bulldogs are the two best teams in the country. That's high praise, especially since he picked Ohio State to win the Big Ten. Saban believes that the Ducks have the pieces and the quarterback to get the job done.

Oregon fans had to be thrilled with their name being called by a legend as well as Desmond and Herbstreit. They all had good things to say about Dan Lanning and this year's team.

It's hard to argue with them. Oregon should have one of the best defenses in the country, an elite quarterback, a talented backfield, and a receiving corps that will give everyone problems.

Could Oregon finally become a national champion this year? If you listen to a legend like Saban or two experts like Howard and Herbstreit, the answer is yes.
