LaMichael James and 9 other rushing leaders in Oregon football history
Let's run through the Oregon Ducks' all-time leaders in rushing yards.
By Sam Fariss
The man who helped carry the Ducks to a Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin and a regular-season victory over Ohio State. CJ Verdell finds himself at No. 6 on this list with 2,929 career rushing yards.
Going for back-to-back seasons with 1,000+ rushing yards and a career total of 27 rushing touchdowns, Verdell carried this team on his back. Literally and metaphorically.
Verdell also had 58 receptions for 610 yards and 3 touchdowns in his four years for the Ducks. Yes, you’re doing the math right. He had 30 career touchdowns for 180 total points.
What’s most surprising about Verdell’s numbers is that he was sharing snaps for his entire time with the Ducks. The player he was splitting snaps with is next on this list: Travis Dye.
