The first Duck on this list to break the 3,000-yard mark is Travis Dye. Before transferring to the USC Trojans, Dye had some fantastical stats for the Ducks.
Dye played in just 48 games with the Ducks before leaving for sunny Los Angeles. While sharing snaps with Verdell, Dye had 521 rushing attempts for a career total of 3,111 yards.
With season-long runs of 49, 47, 50, and 53 yards each year, Dye averaged just 6 yards per attempt and 64.8 yards per game. He scored 21 touchdowns on the ground but zero through the air.
Heading into the 2021 season, Dye would not have been in the Ducks’ top 20 for career rushing yards but his team-leading 1,271 yards on the ground that year pushed him into a top-five spot.
Dye went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft but signed with the New York Jets in May of last year before getting waived in August.
