Oregon Ducks' Jabbar Muhammad makes list of top cornerback prospects for 2025 NFL Draft

Heading into the 2024 Oregon football season, Ducks star cornerback Jabbar Muhammad earned a spot on PFF's list of top cornerback prospects to watch.

With the start of the 2024 Oregon football season getting closer and closer, it’s worth keeping in mind that this particular Oregon Ducks team could be very well rounded. The Ducks, generally known for their thrilling offenses, could have a great defense this season. And Oregon cornerback Jabbar Muhammad is a huge reason for that. 

Ahead of the start of the 2024 Oregon football season, Pro Football Focus (PFF) has named Muhammad as one of the top cornerbacks to watch heading into the 2025 NFL Draft. As PFF analyst Max Chadwick detailed, Muhammad has been impressive routinely and has shown to have some impressive potential. 

According to PFF, Muhammad managed to lead all cornerbacks in the 2023 college football season with an astounding 19 forced incompletions. But, as impressive as that is, even more impressive is the fact that 17 of those came in single coverage situations, showcasing his ability to lock down receivers in one-on-one matchups.

Muhammad is a bit smaller than most prototypical NFL cornerback builds, but at 5-foot-10 and 183 pounds, he still makes things difficult for opposing wide receivers. 

And that matters a lot.

With the way that he plays and challenges opposing offenses, Muhammad deserves a ton of recognition for his ball-hawking skills and competitive nature on the field.The combination of athleticism and tenacity has made him a cornerstone of the Oregon Ducks' defense.

Heading into the 2024 college football season, Muhammad’s presence in the secondary seems crucial for this Oregon football team to be able to find success on a high level as the Ducks make the move from the the Pac-12 on over to the Big Ten.

That’s especially true when considering how the Ducks aim to compete for a Big Ten title and the College Football Playoff.

Oregon has high aspirations this year. Guys that are as talented as Jabbar Muhammad matter considerably.
