It may be the middle of an important game week leading up to Oregon football's first-ever Big Ten game, but that hasn't stopped Dan Lanning from working on his 2025 recruiting class.

Lanning currently has the No. 8 class in the country for 2025 and he's working on adding more.

While he does have a four-star quarterback currently committed in Akili Smith Jr. from San Diego, Calif., Lanning is trying to get one more, pushing for a flip of four-star Cal commit Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele.

If that name feels like a mouthful, it's because it is. But he was just offered by the Ducks on Thursday.

Keawe Sagapolutele is a Hawaii native and we all know about the Ducks' recent history of success with Hawaiian-born quarterbacks. We saw Marcus Mariota win a Heisman Trophy in Eugene and now the Ducks have Dillon Gabriel leading the way. Both guys were from Hawaii and both have had success in Eugene and Lanning is hoping to strike gold with another prospect from the Aloha

As the top Hawaiian prospect in the 2025 class, Keawe Sagapolutele is highly sought-after and that's why Cal is going to have a tough time keeping him committed even though he's been a solid verbal since July 8.

The talented four-star quarterback is ranked the No. 24 passer in the class and he's No. 283 overall, per the 247Sports Composite. Before he committed to Cal, he held offers from Boise State, Oregon State, Colorado, Utah, Washington, and Washington State, among others.

We'll see if Lanning can pull this flip off.
