Can anyone stop Dan Lanning and Oregon football on the recruiting trail?

Honestly, it feels like the third-year head coach has been the best recruiter in college football not named Kirby Smart and he continues to prove that week in and week out.

After landing the No. 9 recruiting class in 2023, signing the No. 4 class in 2024, and starting with the No. 9 class in 2025, it looks like Lanning is about to blow all of those groups out of the water with the 2026 cycle.

In fact, his class was already ranked in the top 10 and then he landed the No. 28 overall prospect, Kodi Greene, on Monday evening.

What does that mean for the 2026 class ranking? Well, it jumped to No. 5 with four highly-rated four-stars committed in Tradarian Ball, Jonas Williams, and Tony Cumberland. Greene leads the way as the highest-ranked and he's the second top-50 recruit to commit to the Ducks in 2026.

People don't realize just how impressive it is that Oregon already has two top-50 recruits and four top-150 prospects committed to its 2026 class. There's an entire year and a half until signing day for the 2026 class and these guys have made the decision to pick Lanning and the Ducks because they believe in the direction of the program (how can you not?).

This is the type of recruiting that has made Georgia so successful following the dynasty that was Alabama under Nick Saban. Not many teams can recruit like this.

Greene is the No. 28 overall recruit in the class and No. 4 offensive tackle from Santa Ana, Calif., and he picked Oregon over the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, and USC.

No one can stop Lanning right now.
