As the 2024 Oregon football season is just about upon us, Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks are able to boast the nation’s top receiving corps, according to a recent preseason ranking from Pro Football Focus (PFF). This shouldn’t shock anyone given the way that the Oregon Ducks football program routinely fields explosive offenses and how Lanning has assembled talent in Eugene.

And due to the immense amount of talent that Oregon has at receiver heading into the 2024 Oregon football season, the Ducks were able to take the top spot in PFF’s rankings, as written and explained by PFF analyst Max Chadwick’s article on the best receiving corps in the country.

Oregon football’s receiver corps ranked best in country by PFF ahead of 2024 season

As Chadwick noted, having a dynamic receiving duo like Tez Johnson and Texas A&M Aggies transfer Evan Stewart in the lineup each week for Oregon will certainly be a huge reason for the Ducks’ success in this area.

An experienced receiving threat, Johnson was a star for the Oregon Ducks offense last season after transferring to join the Ducks following three strong seasons with the Troy Trojans. In 2023, Johnson exploded onto the scene, catching 86 passes for 1182 yards and 10 touchdowns. In the three seasons he spent with Troy, Johnson caught 141 passes for 1809 yards and eight touchdowns.

Evan Stewart is a more recent transfer to Oregon and he certainly has a ton of potential. During his freshman and sophomore seasons with the Texas A&M Aggies, Stewart played 18 games and caught 91 passes for 1163 yards and six touchdowns. Now that he’s with the Ducks, Stewart should see those numbers increase considerably given the offense he’s about to be a significant part of.

And these guys aren’t the only reasons to be excited. Chadwick also noted the fact that Oregon has guys like Traeshon Holden and Gary Bryant Jr. and Terrance Ferguson. There’s a lot of talent on this offense and it looks like Dillon Gabriel will have a ton of opportunities to thrive as he connects with this remarkable and impressive receiving corps.

As Oregon football makes the move into the Big Ten this season, it will certainly help for the Ducks to have an elite receiving corps like this.
