Defensive back Evan Williams has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. Williams spent his senior year at Oregon after starting his collegiate career at Fresno State.

In 2023, Williams accounted for 82 tackles, leading Oregon’s defensive unit and he was named to the Pac-12 second-team defense.

He also collected 4.5 sacks for the team with a season-high of 1.5 against the Colorado Buffaloes. Against the Washington State Cougars, Williams amassed 14 total tackles in the Ducks’ 38-24 win.

At Fresno State, Williams racked up tackles and awards. His sophomore year earned him a spot on the All-Mountain West first team and his junior year led to him being named to the All-Mountain West second team.

Out of high school, Williams didn’t see a boatload of offers roll into his inbox. Before committing to Fresno State, he was also offered by Air Force, Princeton, Dartmouth, and Harvard.

Williams transferred to Oregon after his older brother, Bennett Williams left the Ducks’ roster for the 2023 NFL Draft. It seems the younger Williams is hoping to follow in big brother’s footsteps.
