Oregon Football: Game Times Announced For Weeks 1-3
Oregon Football enters a new realm in 2024 becoming a part of the Big Ten Conference. This means the team will be seen on different channels and possibly different platforms. We already know some of the game times for the upcoming season.
Last week, FOX announced that the game vs Michigan State and the game at Purdue were moved to Friday night games. Michigan State will be played on Friday, October 4th with a 6 p.m. Pacific Time kickoff. The game at Purdue will be played on Friday, October 18th with a 5 p.m. Pacific Time kickoff.
On Thursday, several other games were announced by the Big Ten. Fans now know the times for potentially six games this season. At the start of the season, the Ducks will host Idaho on August 31st for a 4:30 pm kickoff on Big Ten Network.
The following week Oregon will host the Boise State Broncos in a game that has had some colorful history in its past. The Ducks and Broncos will play at 7 pm on Peacock, NBC's streaming service.
One of the earlier games announced was the contest versus Oregon State which is set for September 14th at 12:30 p.m. on FOX. Oregon will also host Illinois on October 26th with what looks like some timing options to be determined at a later date. The Ducks and Illini will meet at either 12:30/1 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.
Other games including UCLA, Ohio State, Michigan, Maryland, Wisconsin, and the final home game against Washington have yet to be announced.
I expect that the game vs Ohio State will be a part of the new Big Ten package with CBS, but a time and channel for one of the biggest games of the season is still being worked on.
As we approach June, the Ducks are on break until Fall Camp which will ramp up in early July. Oregon opens the 2024 season in the Big Ten hosting non-conference foe Idaho for a 4:30 kickoff on Big Ten Network on August 31st.
