Saturday marks the kickoff of the 2024 season for Oregon football.

The excitement is filling the air and in a few hours, Autzen Stadium is going to be packed with 54,000 fans who have waited all offseason to see this team take the field and finally begin their quest for a national title. Many experts are high on the Ducks and some (Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard) even think that they're going to win the national title.

Oregon will be led by a new quarterback for the first time in a couple of years with Bo Nix now gone. The Ducks will have Dillon Gabriel leading the way after a couple of really successful years from Nix who is now the starter for the Denver Broncos.

Gabriel leads an explosive offense that's supposed to be just as effective as it was under Nix and the defense, too, should be more than effective.

With the game just hours away from kickoff which should help satisfy our hunger for the return of Oregon football, let's take a look at the final odds and dive into a prediction.

Note: Odds courtesy of Draft Kings as of Saturday morning.

Line: Oregon -46
Over/Under: 59

So basically, Vegas is predicting a massive blowout here for the Ducks. Idaho is a decent FCS team but the Ducks are built differently and they have everything you need to beat down on inferior teams like this.

I think Oregon dominates from start to finish and Gabriel puts on a show with over 300 yards and five touchdown passes. The offense is going to put up a 50-burger and I think this one hits the over but the Ducks don't quite cover that 46-point spread.

Prediction: Idaho 13, Oregon 55
