Oregon stars Bo Nix, Bucky Irving, and Troy Franklin shine bright at the NFL Combine
By Sam Fariss
Bo Nix, Bucky Iriving, and Troy Franklin showed off their talents on the third day of the NFL Combine. As the offensive leaders for the Oregon Ducks over the past two seasons, the trio was looking to improve their draft stock further.
Irving, former Duck running back, showed off his quick twitch abilities and surprising strength despite his smaller stature.
He lept up to a 29.50-inch vertical and a 9-foot, 7-inch broad jump. Irving dropped down in the wide receiver list with slightly smaller numbers from the jumping drills.
While he ran a 4.55 in the 40-yard dash, finding himself closer to the back of the pack, his performance during the on-field drills helped boost Irving’s draft stock.
Known for being elusive on the field, Irving showed his sure footing and lightning-quick reactions to cap off his day.
