Oregon vs. UCLA final odds and a final score prediction
It's been an interesting season so far for Oregon, but the Ducks feel like they're finally back on track. Saturday night's Oregon vs. UCLA game will tell us even more about this team.
While UCLA isn't exactly a world-beater at 1-2 and running out one of the worst passing defenses in college football, the Bruins are going to get up for this game against the No. 8 team in the country. This is also a night game for the Bruins at the Rose Bowl so the atmosphere should be electric. It's also the first Big Ten game for Oregon. A lot to prove here on both sides.
Dan Lanning is trying to shake off the first two weeks of the season which resulted in two close wins against Idaho and Boise State before dominating Oregon State in Week 3.
UCLA, on the other hand, is trying to bounce back from back-to-back blowout losses to Indiana and LSU. The Bruins' schedule has been pretty brutal so far, and it doesn't get easier this week.
What does Vegas think about this one?
Here are the final odds from Draft Kings as of Saturday morning:
Spread: Oregon -25.5
Over/Under: 55
Moneyline: Oregon -2800 | UCLA +1300
Vegas pretty much has zero faith in UCLA to win this one. That's good news for the Ducks because it feels like they're earning some respect back after that Oregon State throttling. That doesn't mean a blowout is guaranteed, but Vegas is usually spot-on with its lines.
Is 25.5 points too much? Probably, considering Oregon only beat Idaho by 10 and Boise State by three, but the Ducks did go into Corvallis and win by 35. But people don't realize 25 points on the road is a lot. I still think Oregon wins comfortably, but I just think this may be too steep of a number.
The over might be a good bet, though, in my opinion. Dillon Gabriel is going to have a field day against this lackluster pass defense.
Final score: Oregon 41, UCLA 20
