2. Utah Utes - 11-4

Utah looked good in its first two Pac-12 outings; the Utes pulled off wins against the Huskies as well as the Washington State Cougars.

However, the past two games have led to a downward slide as the team has dropped games against Arizona and Arizona State.

Unlike Washington, Utah has struggled to keep up with it's opponents. The two losses to Arizona and ASU were by 19 points and 12 points, respectively.

All this to say, the team is nowhere near bad. Center Branden Carlson is averaging 17.6 points per game. Guard Gabe Madsen threw down 18 points in the team's loss to Arizona and forward Ben Carlson, Braden's brother, hauled in 6 defensive rebounds for the squad.

However, if the Utes can't figure out how to slow down their opponents' offensive performances, they will continue to struggle in Pac-12 play.

The team hosts the Ducks on January 21st for the teams' first regular-season meeting. They will fly to Eugene on March 9th to wrap up Pac-12 play ahead of the tournament.
