I expected absolute anarchy once Jim Harbaugh announced he was heading back to the NFL to lead the Chargers. However, once the Wolverines named Sherrone Moore as the new head coach, there wasn’t a whole lot of movement on Michigan’s roster.

The long-time assistant and at times interim head coach Moore was the perfect hire to keep the team steady following the National Championship victory, Harbaugh departing, and the reshuffling of conferences.

Most of the eight players who have headed the portal from Harbaugh’s roster, entered before his new coaching gig was even announced.

I think that keeping the head coaching hire internal coupled with the momentum that the Wolverines still have from the natty, will keep Michigan in a solid position heading into the 2024 season.

While nothing that notable occurred for Michigan during the mass hysteria which is the transfer portal, I think that speaks for itself and pushes the Wolverines up to No. 10 on this list.
