The Cornhuskers being this high on my list may surprise some of you. Especially with the departure of starting quarterback Chubba Purdy being on many Nebraska fans’ minds.

However, despite the starting QB and a handful of receivers hitting the road, Nebraska had the huge acquisitions of former Texas WR Isaiah Neyor and former Oregon running back Dante Dowdell.

The two offensive pickups alone could help carry the Cornhuskers to a few wins in the 2024 season.

Head coach Matt Rhule also picked up former Florida Gator Micah Mazzccua; a three-star interior offensive lineman, and former Syracuse Orangge Stefon Thomas; a three-star linebacker.

The minimal amount of stars leaving the Cornhusker program coupled with the fact that Rhule was able to bring in some truly talented players bumps Nebraska way up on this list. Rhule and his staff did well and landed the Cornhuskers at No. 7 on the Big Ten power rankings.
