Head coach James Franklin wasn’t necessarily in the market for a lot of players from the transfer portal. As most of his players from the 2023-24 season are returning, the Nittany Lions simply don’t need to replace or fill or fix or rebuild.

However, Franklin did pick up some star power from the portal. Four-star cornerback A.J. Harris from Georgia will be a wonderful addition to the Penn State secondary, and the same goes for three-star corner out of Florida, Jalen Kimber.

The roster also added wide receiver Julian Fleming from Ohio State and offensive tackle Nolan Rucci from Wisconsin. Rucci is joined by former Badger teammate Jordan Mayer, a three-star edge rusher.

Overall, the Nittany Lions did impressively well, especially for a team that could have just window-shopped this off-season.
