After an abysmal 2023-24 season, the Boilermakers' fortune didn’t improve during the transfer portal. Despite acquiring few players from across the country, Purdue has seen players flee left and right.

Almost entirely rebuilding their offensive line through pickups like DJ Wingfield from New Mexico State, Joey Tanona from Notre Dame, and C.J. Madden from Georgia, head coach Ryan Walters did have some notable success.

Walters also got commitments from Kam Brown; former UCLA receiver, and Reggie Love III; former Illinois running back.

However, with another wildly uneven transfer portal class, the Boilermakers find themselves at the back of the pack in the Big Ten rankings.

Walters lost ten linemen, seven wide receivers, two running backs, and even a kicker to other programs. The Boilermakers’ defense was stripped bare by the transfer portal and the commitments coming into the program don’t begin to fill the gaping hole.
