Another day, another preseason poll that shows that Oregon football is one of the elite teams in the nation.

On Monday, the AP Top 25 was released which is the official rankings for the 2024 season and it had Oregon sitting at No. 3 behind Georgia and Ohio State. That was just like the Coaches Poll which was released weeks ago and it's similar to every single preseason ranking that has come out from college football experts around the country.

What does this mean? It means that 2024 is officially a "national title or bust" season for the Ducks.

Dan Lanning is bringing back some key stars from last year's team at essentially every position outside of quarterback and where there were shortcomings, he addressed them in the transfer portal with the No. 2 class in the country. Besides having the second-best transfer portal class in college football, Lanning landed a top-five recruiting class.

Wherever there may have been a lack of depth or talent, it was addressed in the 2024 class or the transfer portal emphatically. Every single group on this team has been improved.

And the questions at quarterback post-Bo Nix were answere, too, in the former of Dillon Gabriel who has over 14,000 career passing yards and well over 100 touchdown passes. And if he doesn't get the job done (he will), he's backed up by former five-star Dante Moore who also transferred in.

The offensive line will be solid yet again, the tight ends group is impressive, the receivers added a former five-star and bring back Tez Johnson, the backfield is loaded despite losing Bucky Irving, and the defensive backfield might be the most improved unit on the entire roster.

There's a reason college football experts believe that Oregon is the best team in the country not named Georgia or Ohio State. And, heck, the Ducks might even be better than either of them.

Lanning has Oregon set up with its best chances to win a national title since Chip Kelly was in charge.
