Redrafting the 2020 NFL Draft class: Justin Herbert to Giants, Jake Hanson undrafted

Take a look at where we think the 2020 NFL Draft class of former Oregon Ducks would fall if they could do it all over again.

Don’t worry, this article isn’t going to kick Justin Herbert out of the first round. However, it also isn’t going to place all six Ducks in the first six picks.

The Oregon Ducks had four players selected in the 2020 NFL Draft and Herbert went the highest as the sixth overall pick. Two more were signed as undrafted free agents following the conclusion of the seventh round.

Since the 2020 season and throughout the four subsequent seasons, some of the former Ducks have stolen spotlights while others have faded into the background.

If the 2020 NFL Draft class could go through it all again, where would the Ducks fall now that fans have seen how their careers will most likely unfold?

In the 2020 NFL Draft, Justin Herbert was selected sixth overall by the Los Angeles Charges and despite his standout professional career, his team has struggled to find its footing in the league.

While the Giants were still set on Daniel Jones as the next franchise quarterback in 2020, bringing Herbert on as a backup and then seeing just how talented he is would have been a great move for New York.

Over the past four seasons, Jones has floundered in the NFL due to injuries while Herbert’s career has taken off.

Having Herbert at the reigns of the New York Giants would have been a great fit for the team and would have afforded the former Duck better opportunities than the Chargers have so far.
