Surprise, the first team on this list isn’t even a Big Ten opponent.

Boise State is back near the top of many analysts’ way-too-early rankings for the 2024 college football season after a relatively successful 2023 and an impressive offseason thus far.

The Broncos ranked No. 18 in the nation last season, averaging 2.8 sacks per game. Senior defensive end Ahmed Hassanein was one of the most improved players in college football and had huge levels of productivity for Boise State in 2023.

Defensive coordinator Erik Chinander has proven his value to the program as he continues to improve the Broncos’ standing on the national level.
