Hailing from the Oklahoma Sooners and looking to lessen the blow of Bo Nix leaving, Dillon Gabriel has some very big shoes to fill.

In the early discussions for the Heisman Trophy candidates to start the 2023 season, Gabriel has proven that he’s a talented quarterback with a powerful arm. This will be his sixth season of collegiate football and he already has 125 career touchdowns with just 26 interceptions.

Gabriel’s arm has certainly proven its strength throughout the past five seasons as well with a career-longest touchdown pass of 93 yards in 2020.

The former Sooners’ current completion percentage is 63.98 and with receivers like Stewart, Tez Johnson, and Traeshon Holden as targets, Gabriel’s percentage is bound to go up.
