A brand new era is coming to the Big Ten Conference. As the Big Ten gets set to host an expanded roster of teams during the 2024 Big Ten football media days, four prominent West Coast programs are set to make their debut in their new home.

The Big Ten is officially becoming a coast-to-coast powerhouse of a college football conference. What a weird thing to be able to witness.

Still, this is a significant moment for the Oregon football team (as well as the UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, and Washington Huskies). The Ducks (and those other teams) are about to be involved in a big event that showcases the Big Ten’s growth as well as the massive changes that college football as a whole has experienced.

And here’s when the three-day event will get underway.

When are 2024 Big Ten Media Days?

The Big Ten Conference has announced that the 2024 Big Ten Football Media Days will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis from July 23 through July 25. And the three-day format allows for the accommodation of the expanded 18-team conference that includes the addition of the Oregon Ducks, UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, and Washington Huskies

To accommodate for having a larger conference heading into this season, the Big Ten has set up the event to unfold with the following schools speaking on the following days:

  • July 23: Illinois, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, Wisconsin
  • July 24: Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, UCLA, USC
  • July 25: Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington

With it being laid out like that, the 2024 Big Ten media days schedule allows for the strategic mixing of traditional Big Ten teams along with the new West Coast additions. It’s a pretty effective way to introduce the new kids to the rest of the class.
