Pro Duck Nikko Reed, playing to win a job, makes a big interception for the Chargers

Thursday night at the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, Pro Duck Nikko Reed jumped a route and intercepted a pass from Detroit's Kyle Allen and returned it 60 yards down to the Lion 6. The Chargers scored two plays later for a 14-0 lead.

It's a preseason game and it will take more than one play to survive the Turk and make the 53-man active roster, but the decisive read and break on the ball displays Reed's ball skills and football instincts.

Last season for the Ducks he intercepted a pass late in the fourth quarter at the Big Ten Championship Game to seal a 45-37 victory over Penn State.

Jim Harbaugh loves gamers-- he's a coach that plays to win even in the preseason and leads with emotion. Reed's big play in the first quarter is the kind of moment that will Reed a longer look as he attempts to make the team.
