Oregon's football program moved into the rare air occupied by bluebloods and traditional powers last night as the NFL plucked six Ducks in the first three rounds of the draft, a program record.

Ducks in the 2025 NFL draft

1st Round

DT Derrick Harmon, Oregon: Drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 21st overall pick

OT Josh Conerly Jr., Oregon: Drafted by the Washington Commanders with the 29th overall pick

2nd Round

TE Terrance Ferguson, Oregon: Drafted by the Los Angeles Rams with the 46th overall pick

3rd Round

Edge Jordan Burch, Oregon: Drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the 78th overall pick

DT Jamaree Caldwell, Oregon: Drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 86th overall pick

QB Dillon Gabriel, Oregon: Drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 94th overall pick

The record for the most Ducks taken overall is eight, set last season in the class headed by Bo Nix. Dan Lanning and his staff are set to shatter that. The fourth through seventh rounds of the draft continue Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. PDT, televised on ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network with varying degrees of hype, outrage and bombast.

The other schools on this list are all among the well-funded traditional powers of college football, all with multiple national championships in their history.

For Lanning and his staff, the draft performance brings credibility. Today the Ducks play their Spring Game and as part of that showcase they're bringing in elite recruits from around the country, including No. 1 overall 2026 recruit Jackson Cantwell of Nixa, Missouri, five-star edge rusher Richard Lesley, five-star cornerback Brandon Arrington, and five-star receiver Boobie Feaster among others, about 25 in all.

In his meetings with parents and recruits, Lanning can just point to the draft as the centerpiece of what he's building at Oregon. The Ducks prepare guys for the NFL. Nearly every high school recruit has that as his dream.

A Missourian to his core, one of Lanning's favorite expressions is "The proof's in the pudding." Now he has the proof. He's shown what the Oregon staff can do in developing talent.
