The Oregon Ducks head into the final weekend of the regular season looking to make one last push before postseason play begins. This weekend, the Oregon Baseball team traveled to UCLA, where the Ducks faced the Nation's top-ranked team. As a whole, the weekend may look like a disappointment as the team dropped the series, but it was a positive weekend.

The Ducks' win on Saturday made Oregon the first team to beat UCLA in conference play, which provides a major boost. Having a win over UCLA on the Ducks' resume is going to go a long way when the committee unveils their rankings.

Heading into the final weekend of the regular season against USC, here's where the Ducks land in the National polls.

Series loss to UCLA presents mixed bag for the Oregon Ducks

D1Baseball

Coming into the week, Oregon ranked 13th in D1Baseball's Top 25 rankings which was the highest of any of the major publications. While D1Baseball has the Ducks sliding to 16th this week, that would still be a good enough finish to host a regional. Importantly, USC ranks right behind the Ducks at 17th ahead of the final series of the season.

RPI Rankings

Despite ranking 21st in the RPI Rankings to enter the week, going 1-2 against the top-ranked UCLA Bruins had a positive effect on the Ducks. After the weekend, Oregon ranks 19th in RPI, which gives the team a great chance to jump into the top 16 if they can win the final series of the year against the USC Trojans.

11point7 Field of 64 projector

Last week, Oregon finished as a #2 seed in 11point7's Field of 64 projector with the Ducks playing in College Station. After the weekend, 11point7's projections have the Ducks as the final host team at 16 with Wake Forest, Gonzaga, and Bucknell joining the Ducks in Eugene.

Baseball America

Coming into the week, Oregon ranked 23rd in Baseball America's rankings, and after 3 games, the Ducks didn't move up or down as they remain the 23rd ranked team. Baseball America did have some positive takeaways from the showing:

"Oregon provided a strong example of how a team can still impress in defeat. After a lopsided loss in the series opener, the Ducks pushed No. 1 UCLA as hard as any opponent has all season, threatening the Bruins’ perfect weekend record before ultimately taking one of three in Westwood. Oregon looked every bit like a dangerous postseason team throughout the series."
