11 catches. 181 yards. 1 touchdown. 1 Big Ten Championship trophy. 1 Most Valuable Player award. Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson deserves it all.

The senior wideout captured the hearts of Oregon fans the moment he stepped onto campus in Eugene. The outgoing, passionate, and talented young player became a star last season and this year, despite an injury, he became a hero.

Johnson, who quickly became quarterback Dillon Gabriel's go-to guy, had an incredible performance in the Big Ten Championship as the No. 1 Oregon Ducks downed the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions and captured their first title in their new conference.

With a game-long reception of 48 yards, Johnson's shiftiness and speed were readily apparent throughout the game and his 181 receiving yards were more than double those by anybody else. Here is every catch in Johnson's MVP performance:

Despite missing a few weeks after suffering an injury in Oregon's win over the Michigan Wolverines, Johnson's season has been noteworthy. So far, the Duck wideout has earned 866 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns through the air. Johnson frequently acts as Oregon's return man on punts and kicks, adding an impressive 155 yards to his total.

Everyone loves Tez Johnson, there is no denying it. Now, the Big Ten has given him the nod as the first-ever wide receiver to earn the MVP trophy in the conference title game. After the game, he was lost for words.

"It takes a lot of grit but I know I had a lot of faith behind me with God and my teammates," Johnson said. "Words can’t even explain how I feel right now."

In the postgame press conference, Johnson shared that the title game was the first time his biological family was ever able to see him play for Oregon in person. He gave them the show that he had promised them ahead of kickoff.

The Oregon Ducks secured the first-round bye in the College Football Playoffs with their win over the Nittany Lions so fans won't be able to see Johnson in action for a few weeks. However, the Ducks are set to storm into the Rose Bowl Game in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.
