Heisman odds shifted again after Penn State and Texas lost yesterday while Miami dumped Florida State on the road.

2025 Heisman Odds, FanDuel

Carson Beck (Miami) +600

Dante Moore (Oregon) +600

Ty Simpson (Alabama) +750

Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State) +850

Julian Sayin (Ohio State) +1400

Fernando Mendoza (Indiana) +1400

Moore dropped slightly, slipping into a tie with Beck. The Tide's Ty Simpson bumped up after engineering a 30-14 win over Vanderbilt with 340 yards passing and two touchdowns.

Beck, the transfer from Georgia who's getting a reported $4 million in NIL to play quarterback for the Canes, brought his team to 5-0 with a 28-22 win at Florida State Saturday, 20-27 passing for 241 yards and four touchdowns.

Taking a day off in the Heisman race is risky. Moore has a chance to reclaim sole first place on the odds board Saturday October 11 when the Ducks host Mendoza and the 5-0, No. 8-ranked Hoosiers, 12:30 p.m. PT in Autzen Stadium, broadcast on CBS.

It'll be billed as a clash of Heisman hopeful quarterbacks, and the graphic of their passing stats will be displayed all through the game and on the postgame recaps. Moore can't be distracted by that and likely won't be. He's proven to be a cool customer in his first (and perhaps only) season as Oregon starter, unfazed by the pressure, attention or expectation.

Beck and Miami don't play another ranked opponent until the ACC Championship Game, if then. Moore has a chance to put the trophy away with a decisive win over Mendoza, followed by solid performances in what are likely to be passing duels with Rutgers' Athan Kaliakmanis, USC's Jayden Maiava and UW's Demond Williams.

The primary focus, of course, remains playing winning football, one practice and one week at a time. After the Penn State game Moore said, "I felt like everybody had each other's backs. Our brothers are gonna be brother's keepers. Overall on offense and defense, there was a lot of good plays. Penn State is gonna make good plays. Overall, we were blessed to get the win."

With that focus, they can get another one. While winning the Heisman isn't a high priority for the redshirt sophomore, it'd still be a great achievement in the program's history. They've set Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel to New York as Heisman finalists in the last two seasons. Marcus Mariota won Oregon's only Stiff-Arm Trophy in 2014.
