An early report from a James Madison site had ESPN's College GameDay headed to Virginia for a Wazzu-James Madison clash, but the Oregon athletic department website goducks.com and the GameDay X account confirm that the long-running pregame show is headed back to Eugene for the 14th time.

The Ducks are 20-14 in 34 GameDay appearances. Saturday's game is the clash of the week in college football, matching No. 17 USC (the AP Poll updates in two hours) versus the No. 8 Ducks in a game that will vault one team or the the other one step closer to locking down a first-round playoff game.

Oregon is a 7.5-point favorite for the game, 12:30 p.m. PT on CBS from Autzen Stadium, where the Trojans haven't won in 14 years.

They'll try to test a Trojan defense that gives up 146 yards a game on the ground, including 306 yards rushing in a 34-24 loss at Notre Dame on October 18. Jeremiyah Love gashed them for 228 yards and a touchdown.
