The Oregon Ducks, through the first two weeks of the season, have been disappointing, and while there's still plenty of time to right the ship, this team's flaws are startling. This offseason, Oregon didn't attack the transfer portal like we've seen in past seasons, as the staff opted to roll with younger players to step into the roles. The issue for the Ducks is that with both coordinators taking head coaching jobs, the Ducks lost some exciting depth pieces.
Against Oklahoma State, the Ducks struggled heavily with stopping the run, covering wide receivers, and running the football. Among the transfers that left for greener pastures this offseason, 4 would've given Dan Lanning a massive boost in areas where the Ducks have struggled to start the season.

Kingston Lopa - Safety - Cal
When Tosh Lupoi took the Cal job, it was easy to see that a ton of the defenders he recruited to Oregon would follow him. Oregon has rotated safeties next to Koi Perich as Aaron Flowers and Peyton Woodyard try to lock down the starting role, but a starter may have left this offseason. Tosh Lupoi has gotten the most out of Lopa, as the former Duck has racked up 4 interceptions and 12 tackles in two games against Power 4 opponents.
Terrance Green - Defensive Tackle - Alabama
As Oregon has seen A'Mauri Washington battle injuries, and the defense struggle to get stops through two weeks, any extra pressure on the interior would be great. Terrance Green left this offseason for Alabama as the Crimson Tide rebuilt their entire defensive line. Green has been a reliable piece for the Crimson Tide with a sack as he continues to work into the rotation.
Makhi Hughes - Running Back - Houston
Between the offensive line's struggles and Jordon Davison not looking fully healthy, the Ducks have struggled to run the ball. Makhi Hughes was the high priced addition in the portal last offseason, but he never found his footing in the room, leaving to reunite with Willie Fritz in Houston. Thus far, Houston has gotten the version of Hughes the Ducks' were hoping for, and he'd be a great option to have this season.
Jahlil Florence - Cornerback - Missouri
The Ducks continue to rotate through cornerbacks as the battle rages on for the second cornerback job. At Missouri, Jahlil Florence appears to be locking down a starting role as he picked off Kansas' Isaiah Marshall this weekend. The Ducks' secondary has a ton of talent, but no one has played well, and more options would only help.
