Oregon's "Moore to Come" trip to Japan combines two traditions in one brilliant stroke. It extends the Oregon brand's spirit of marketing and innovation, opening up an emerging global market for American sports. It showcases the current version of the Quack Attack, the most exciting, explosive, fast and talented offense in college football.

At the same time it creates a rich cultural experience for Dan Lanning and the Ducks Magnificent Seven, Dante Moore, Jordon Davison, Dierre Hill, Evan Stewart, Dakorien Moore, Jeremiah McClellan and Jamari Johnson. Traveling together and participating in teaching football fundamentals, running clinics and creating enthusiasm and exposure for Oregon and American football will deepen their bonds as a group while providing the enrichment that world travel can create in their lives.

Taking the Oregon story to a new hemisphere

What a group of stars Lanning is taking to teach and talk about college football! Dante Moore is a Heisman candidate and projected first round draft pick after throwing for 3,565 yards and 30 touchdowns a year ago. Hill averaged 8.8 yards a carry last season while backfield mate Davison plowed for 15 rushing touchdowns, both as true freshmen. As a team Oregon led the nation with 100 plays of 20 yards or more, the most explosive unit in college football.

Organized jointly by Division Street and the Japan Gridiron Association, the event brings Duck football to a new audience while springing this group of players into their summer. They'll have ample opportunity to bond and talk about their goals while interacting with the people, the food and the culture.

In Oregon's official announcement Lanning said, "Football has taken all of us to incredible places, and it will be special to connect with players and coaches who love this game as much as we do. We are excited to share how we approach the game and to be part of something that's much bigger than one trip."

On his show George Wrighster said, "In this NIL era doing too much may be the price to stay ahead." Thinking big, creating an entirely new market for Oregon sports is not merely thinking outside the box, it's setting up a bigger, flashier, more interesting box across an ocean. A new audience, buying tee shirts and picking favorite players. A generation of kids who'll dream of playing for the Ducks, following the Ducks or perhaps attending school in Eugene.

For the UO offensive stars, it kick starts their summer of preparation with the experience of a lifetime. Travel just naturally makes a person's horizons wider. Sharing this trip can strengthen relationships between those teammates. As the "O" goes to the Orient, everyone grows.
