The Oregon Baseball team came into College Baseball's Selection Monday with little to worry about as they were revealed as 1 of the 16 National Seeds on Sunday Night. After a great run in the Big Ten Tournament, the Ducks' only concern was over which teams were coming to PK Park, and which Regional they were partnered with ahead of Super Regionals.

When the National Seeds were revealed, Oregon was the 11th-ranked team in the country, which came as a major surprise. Most of the metrics the committee uses had the Ducks further down the list, while all of the major projections had the Ducks battling to host a regional throughout the Big Ten Tournament.

Oregon-Oregon State Rivalry renewed in the NCAA Tournament

Oregon's opponents in the Regional were dramatic to say the least, as the committee is sending Oregon State, Washington State, and Yale to Eugene. While the Rivalry is no-longer formally The Civil War, putting the two teams in the same regional will bring out plenty of bad blood between the fanbases and the teams.

Heading into conference championship weekend, Oregon State had hopes of hosting a regional, but didn't get the results they needed. This season Oregon State went 43-12, and most pressing for the Ducks, they went a stellar 15-2 away from home. During the regular season, Oregon and Oregon State split their regular season matchups making the Regional a rubber match.

The Yale Bulldogs won the Ivy League this season with a 30-13-1 record, and they'll be the first team the Ducks face in the Regional.

The other team bringing former Pac 12 flavor to Eugene are the Washington State Cougars who went 30-26 overall this season. The Cougars punched their ticket to the dance by winning the Mountain West Championship over San Diego State.

The winner of the Eugene Regional will face the winner of the Austin Regional consisting of Texas, Tarleton State, UC Santa Barbara, and Holy Cross.
