Singer, songwriter, model and actress Madison Beer has a new label, the girlfriend of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Justin Herbert.
The appeal of their relationship as a celebrity phenomenon is that the relationship seems delightfully normal, other than the fact that they're both millionaire celebrities. They go out for coffee, go to Dodger and Laker games, attend a team party in matching sailor suits, exchange a good luck kiss before a game.
Rather than send Herbert into a dramatic tailspin he's playing the most focused and resourceful ball of his career, leading the Charger to a 6-3 record despite injuries that have decimated his running backs and offensive line. He's second in the National Football League in both passing yards and touchdowns while rushing for 305 yards and a TD, 6.6 yards per carry.
The sight of the 6-6 Rose Bowl-winning quarterback and the 5-6 pop singer from Jericho, New York is an irresistible pull for photographers, but Herbert seems so happy that he's adjusted a little to the outsized attention. At the end of his press conference Saturday after a 27-20 win over the Titans he even smiled, something he rarely does with the media.

As for Beer, yesterday she did the most girlfriend thing ever, showing up downtown in a white, green and yellow Oregon Ducks sweatshirt, one that even matches the colors from this week's uniform reveal.
The Ducks travel this week to 6-2, No. 20 Iowa in a College Football Playoff elimination game, while Herbert's Chargers host Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers in the Sunday night game on NBC.
